The Buddhism Retreats & Tibetan Cultures program is a very unique and interesting program in Nepal especially for those who are looking for the spiritual ways of life through the philosophy of Buddhism, Yoga and Meditation Retreats. Yoga and Meditation Retreats are some of the best methods to seek the meaning of life in a peaceful mindset to gain a deeper perspective. This program focuses on introducing you to the fascinating Tibetan cultures giving you the opportunity to enjoy Tibetan food with local families, visit a Tibetan Refugee Camp to learn about Tibetan cultures, traditions and medicine.

In this Buddhism Retreats and Tibetan Cultures Program, you will be visiting many Buddhist Monasteries in Nepal, Retreat Centres and a Tibetan Refugee Camp; live there and experience life in Buddhism, Tibetan cultures and participate in yoga and meditation. Not only that, this program aims to give you in-depth knowledge of Buddhism with its history and practiced principles so far. We hope that after being a part of this program, you can be truly inspired to live in peace with sharing and caring for every species of nature. As an intern in this program, your activities will be:

  • Visiting to Buddhist Monasteries & Retreat Centres and live there.
  • Practicing Yoga and Meditations in Monasteries and Retreat Centres.
  • Participating in life inspiring Buddhism Preaching sessions.
  • Visiting a Tibetan Refugee camp to learn about Tibetan culture and traditions and also you can help promote Tibetan arts and Crafts.
  • Working with local communities to impact their livelihood and participate in Livelihood Development Projects for Women.
  • Participating in Community Programs such as Working with local Schools / Monastery for teaching. Visit Kindergarten & Early Childhood Center.
  • Working in Local Hospitals to provide Health and Medical care.
Fast Facts about the Program:
Program Duration: 2 weeks - 12 weeks.
Accommodation and Meals: You will be staying with local host families & will be provided 3 meals a day according to Nepali menu.
Working Time: Flexible; 6 - 8 hours a day / 5 - 6 days in a week, all other time is free.
Training & Support: In-country orientation, Pre-departure helpdesk, Local in-country team and 24hr emergency support & services are provided.
