Rural Community Healthcare volunteer in Nepal gives you the opportunity to work with hospitals, clinics and health centers to provide healthcare and medical support for rural communities in Nepal. The rural community healthcare volunteering program in Nepal is a volunteer program that is developed for connecting skilled medical volunteers to spread health care and medical services to the people of Nepal. Through this volunteer program, you can work in Nepal hospitals or village health centers to provide health care support under the supervision of the Nepal Medical Council registered doctors in Nepal.

This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to provide health care support to Nepali people and enjoy the warm hospitality in return. As a volunteer in this program, you will be placed in Nepali hospitals, clincis and village health centers; where you will have the opportunity to serve people through OPD services / medical lab test / diagnostics and you can also have the possibility to sometimes participate in medical camps. Another great attraction of this volunteer program is for you to do meaningful travel to help people who need proper health care & medical support, as well as experience the rural lifestyle of Nepali people.

As a volunteer in this program, your activities will be:

  • Providing health care and medical services to the people in Nepal.
  • Working in Nepali hospitals, clinics and Nepal Village Health Centers.
  • Participating in medical camps wherever possible.
  • Organising medical camps (if you have a team of medical volunteers).
  • Conducting research on healthcare and medical services for rural community in Nepal.
  • Providing public health education in schools and in rural communities to raise awareness of sanitation and public health concerns.
Fast Facts about the Program:
Program Duration: 2 weeks - 12 weeks.
Accommodation and Meals: You will be staying with local host families & will be provided 3 meals a day according to Nepali menu.
Working Time: Flexible; 6 - 8 hours a day / 5 - 6 days in a week, all other time is free.
Training & Support: In-country orientation, Pre-departure helpdesk, Local in-country team and 24hr emergency support & services are provided.
